We just finished our complimentary breakfast at the hotel. I wish I could take a picture of all the food Yonah consumes at these things. He eats as much at breakfast as I eat the whole day.
We are about to set off into the Appalachians. It is 6:30am and we are hoping we will beat some of the heat and coal trucks.
Internet will be spotty so may not be able to write for a few days. We are planning on sleeping in the Baptist Church in Booneville, if all goes according to plan. It will be a very special Shabbat, I'm sure.
We had a totally relaxing rest day. Berea is a sweet town with a very active artist community. We went downtown yesterday afternoon and saw some great quilts, woodwork, sculpture, glass, etc. Had lunch in a great Cafe on the square..grilled vegetable pannini...Jess' like home! Sigh.
Ok, gotta get on the road.
Loads of love,
Djina

If you read this in time, please come by the Owsley County Action Team. The Arts Council is working on a "barn quilt" and I'm sure you'd enjoy the visit!
Sorry, missed this. We are long gone now but thanks for the invite! Enjoyed your hills there in Owsley. You all must be in great shape.
