Crossing the Nevada Desert!!!!!(Djina)

Man....it is hot! This is our first day with just the four of us and all our stuff. We are in the middle of nowhere. We are about 14 miles from our stopping point for the day and we ran out of water. Luckily we came across this little saloon...out in the middle of nowhere...and it is like something right out of Big Valley! There are about 10 people, men and women, lined up smoking at the bar and watching Star Trek! Besides having Gatorade, ice, and Ice Cream...they have INTERNET!!!!!! It is so surreal. Solomon is at the bar as I write, regaling the old timers with stories of our travels...needless to say, no one else is getting a word in edgewise.
Solomon began our desert crossing by singing 100 bottles of beer on the wall. Poor Matt. He looked back at one point and said "now you see what it is like, now that Ken is gone and you have no one to distract you".
I have to get off this thing, the cigerette smoke is so thick I'm starting to feel nauseated. Can't upload pictures here but I downloaded a bunch to Ken's laptop that he promised to post for me. There is one I am particularly fond of but he probably won't post it.
It has been almost a week and it has gone by so quickly. It is all so beautiful...I didn't know Nevada was a desert! OK, that's it until the next desert oasis.
Love,
Djina
